As many of you know, the Edgartown Select Board will consider approval of the transfer of the Chappy Ferry operating license to a new owner on May 11, 2026.
Before that decision is made, the Chappaquiddick Island Association (CIA) is asking anyone who uses the Chappy Ferry to complete a very short survey.
The survey is intended to gather community input on the future operation of the ferry and the potential transfer of the operating license.
Topics include:
• Ferry fare oversight
• Wait time and operational reporting
• Financial transparency
• Long-term vessel and infrastructure planning
• Regular community input on ferry operations
✔ Responses are anonymous
✔ Results will be shared with the Chappy Ferry Steering Committee, the Edgartown Select Board, and the community
Whether you live on Chappaquiddick, work on the island, own property, or regularly use the ferry, your perspective matters.
