The Chappaquiddick Island Association (CIA) is pleased to announce a new public convenience for the 2026 season — a portable restroom now available at Chappy Point for community use.
The restroom is located in the far corner of the gravel parking lot at Chappy Point and is intended to serve residents, contractors, visitors, beachgoers, fishermen, and everyone spending time on Chappaquiddick throughout the busy summer and fall seasons.
Service Dates
The portable restroom is available starting May 21, 2026 and will remain in place through October 20, 2026, covering the full summer season through the end of the Derby.
Weekly Professional Service
The restroom will be professionally serviced, cleaned, and restocked weekly by Jay’s Septic Service of Edgartown.
ADA Accessible
The unit is ADA accessible to help ensure convenient access for all members of the community.
The CIA hopes this new amenity will help improve comfort and convenience at Chappy Point while supporting the many people who enjoy and rely on this important community area throughout the season.
